There has been a growing feeling in me to write this blog (even though I’m not a blogger). My intention is to inspire, and sometimes enlighten others, as well as myself. I say “myself” because writing has a way of tapping into thoughts, perceptions and experiences the writer can learn from. Writing is a mysterious process that releases emotional pain or expresses joy we were unaware of. It can be a cleansing process like bathing in a long, steamy shower.

Writing can go off on unexpected tangents, winding down a curvy path. That’s the adventure of it; exploring the unknown…..It’s a lonely path, but when it results in insights and inner growth it’s well worth the journey. Sharing one’s writing with others is the icing on the cake, especially when it moves them or inspires change.

What is wisdom? I don’t claim to know, but when it’s expressed through me I’m aware of it. Sometimes it’s channeled. Other times it comes from experiences that are tied to lessons. I think of wisdom as inner knowing, inner seeing. But that could define intuition.

My brand new Webster’s dictionary defines it as “accumulated philosophic or scientific learning; knowledge; insight.” I disagree. Wisdom is not scientific learning (which I believe may be so-called facts). Philosophical knowledge comes closer, but doesn’t feel quite accurate. Ah, insight. That could be equated with wisdom.
